Halloween on Franklin Street
On Halloween night, Chapel Hill's Franklin Street fills with an assortment of university students and local residents dressed in spooky - and silly - costumes. This portrait series documents the faces of community members during this annual tradition. I set up a mobile studio on the crowded street and snagged portraits of willing ghosts, zombies, a slice of pizza and other characters. This series was published in The News & Observer, a McClatchy-owned paper in North Carolina's capitol, as part of my internship with The Herald-Sun, another local McClatchy paper in Durham, North Carolina.
